Ankita Bhutani is a highly skilled process engineer with a PhD in Solid State Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is currently seeking a full-time position in the field of materials science. Ankita has a diverse skill set that includes inorganic solid-state synthesis, ex-situ and in-situ X-ray Diffraction, neutron diffraction, Rietveld refinement, X-ray fluorescence, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility measurements, transport measurements, heat capacity measurements, and photo-lithography. She is also proficient in MS Office, TOPAS, GSAS, FullProf, Jade, HiScore, XND, and VESTA. Ankita's current role is as a Summer Research Intern at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In this role, she developed a technique called nanofluid boiling, which involves depositing diffusion barrier materials (Titanium and its oxide) on substrates. She also optimized the coating deposition parameters, including post-coating sintering experiments, and investigated the coatings using Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy, Profilometry, and scratch testing. Prior to this, Ankita worked as a Summer Research Intern at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she developed Vanadium and Vanadium(III) Oxide coatings on test flats of cladding materials by Modified Electrophoretic Deposition method and analyzed the quality of coatings using Scanning Electron Microscopy and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy. She also performed high-temperature diffusion couple experiments to test the efficacy of coatings. Ankita has also served as a Manager of Communications at Avanti Fellows, where she managed the Avanti Fellows Core Team of IIT Roorkee Chapter. Ankita holds a Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgy and Material Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. She has over 10 years of relevant experience as a Research Scientist and Search professional.
