Ankur Kumar is a Senior DevOps Engineer at McAfee with 8.69 years of relevant experience in the field of DevOps and Software Engineering. He is proficient in a wide range of technologies including Python, Core Java, Kubernetes, AWS, Grafana, Helm Charts, LoadBalancer, OVA Packaging, Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, Perl, Flask,C , Gradle, Shell scripting, Jinja, SQL, Gradle, Puppet, Terraform, and Git. Ankur completed his M.Tech in Information Technology from the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore, Karnataka, India in 2015. Prior to joining McAfee, he has worked with renowned companies such as Cisco, Oracle, and Tech Mahindra. At McAfee, Ankur is currently working on the Zero Trust Network Access project, which involves enabling specific Private Application access instead of all apps in addition to Internet access by enabling Threat and Data protection. He has also worked on Kubernetes, Helm Charts, OVA packaging, Grafana dashboard, and Prometheus to visualize all metrics of all Production PoPs at a single place. Ankur has also created a Jenkins pipeline to push the latest docker image to Docker registry automatically whenever there is any commit to the master branch. At Oracle, Ankur worked on the FA on OCI project, designing the Python Framework for covering MATS for Oracle Cloud Machine using Jinja for reporting and Ansible and Jenkins for execution. He also completed POCs on building and deploying Python Web App on Docker and deployed Restful API into AWS EC2 instance and Infrastructure Provisioning using Terraform. Ankur also worked on OCI Lumberjack for continuous monitoring of logs using Elastic Search and sending alerts across DCs. At Cisco, Ankur worked on Cloud Security (Virtual Appliance- DNS Security) and Cisco Cloud Web Security (Firewall in Cloud) projects where he was responsible for end-to-end testing, code review, and automation. He has experience in using productivity tools like JIRA and Confluence. Ankur believes that learning never stops, and each day teaches us some new things.
