Annie Nguyen is a highly skilled software engineer with over 3 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently working at Twilio as a Software Engineer, she has a strong background in data science and Python programming. Prior to her current role, Annie worked as a Data 8 Head Undergraduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley College of Engineering, where she managed a team of 30+ student instructors, 45+ tutors, and 130+ lab assistants to serve the Intro to Data Science class of 1300+ students. She also taught 2 2-hour labs that taught students with no background experience in Python and data science. Annie has also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at NerdWallet, where she revamped and improved the Home application flow for the Loans team. Using a shared state machine library and shared React components, she built out an experience from scratch to ask for user data so that users could compare offers and see personalized quotes for mortgages when purchasing a home or refinancing a mortgage. Her project was the first step of an initiative to move towards a more consistent look and feel when asking users for data. Therefore, she learned a lot about persisting code and creating a foundation to drive greater efficiencies, iterate, and scale. Annie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated in 2020. She also attended Foothill High School from 2012 to 2016. With a strong tech stack that includes software engineering, data science, and Python programming, Annie is a valuable addition to any team. She is a highly motivated individual with a passion for solving complex problems and delivering high-quality results.
