Anoop Ravindran is an accomplished Security Specialist with over 12 years of experience in Security audits, Vulnerability assessments, and management. He is well-versed in Threat-modelling, Manual penetration tests, Security test tools, Automation pipelines, Incident response, test planning, and has a broad experience in Customer Engagement and technical collaboration. Anoop has worked closely with customer teams globally and has a proven track record of implementing security culture in SDLC and involved in shift-left activities. Currently, Anoop is working as a Security Specialist at Philips. Prior to that, he worked as a Security Analyst at Nokia, where he was responsible for running Security audits (Greybox/Whitebox) of Nokia products as an independent audit team. He also created a Security automation pipeline integrating 7 scan tools with Jenkins and identified security gaps via security architecture reviews. Anoop has experience in establishing and rolling out Threat Modelling (MS TM tool), privacy assessment, and management. He is well-versed in Manual & tool assisted Penetration tests to find vulnerabilities and leading tool-sets usage including continuous penetration testing, and automation, and SAST/DAST tools. Anoop helped build security communities across engineering teams through evangelism and training programs and established a track record in leading applications / DevSecOps teams in implementing “Shift Left” strategies. Anoop has a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Cochin University. He is proficient in technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Selenium, and has relevant experience of 9.02 years.
