About
Anshuman Sarawagi is a highly skilled Chemical Engineer with expertise in Nanotechnology, Plasma Systems, and Additive Manufacturing. He is currently working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of New Brunswick, where he leads a project to develop a new 3-phase AC plasma reactor and a solvent-free extraction system for Buckyballs (carbon fullerene) for use in industry. His successful project has resulted in a spinoff from the university that is looking to scale up the technology to a larger scale. Anshuman has over 8 years of relevant experience, including his role as a Teaching Assistant at the University of New Brunswick, where he led both lower and upper-level laboratory demonstrations, prepared and graded assignments, laboratory reports, and examinations. He also consulted with students on various topics, including mass & energy balances, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, mass transfer, process controls, reaction engineering, and staged processes. Anshuman has also worked as a Program Coordinator at Let's Talk Science, where he recruited and trained new volunteers and initiated various new partnerships with schools and other science organizations around the province to help promote STEM in classrooms from an early age right up till high school. He organized the Let's Talk Science Challenge with the most extensive student participation at the chapter to date. Anshuman holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Chemical Engineering/Nanotechnology from the University of New Brunswick, where he also earned his Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Chemical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology. He is a research scientist with a strong background in nanotechnology, plasma systems, and additive manufacturing. Anshuman is currently seeking new opportunities to apply his skills and expertise in the field of nanotechnology and chemical engineering. He is a highly motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
