Anthony Eggington is a Financial Services Technology Leader with over 24 years of relevant experience. He is currently the Managing Director and Global Head of Alternatives Technology at BlackRock, where he leads the newly created Alternatives Systems engineering department. In this role, he is responsible for re-underwriting the entire technology strategy and enhancing Aladdin to become an industry-leading solution for Alternatives investment managers. Anthony is passionate about conceptualising and designing highly scalable solutions to complex problems. He believes in working with great people and building and leading high-performing teams to achieve success. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth. Prior to joining BlackRock, Anthony served as the Global Head of Fixed Income Portfolio Management Technology at Barclays Global Investors. He also worked as a Systems Developer at Patientline earlier in his career. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with Management from Royal Holloway, University of London. He is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of financial services technology, and he is always looking for new ways to innovate and drive change in the industry.
