NewCo connect business through&nbsp;festivals, media and services.&nbsp;NewCo’s festival products encourage participants to “Get out to get in.” Festivals have the focus of a business conference, the feel of a music festival, and the model of an artist open studio.&nbsp;NewCo festival creates lasting engagement and deep connections. In late 2015, NewCo launched a media platform focused on the people, companies, and stories behind the NewCo movement.

Designing and building DLS – the Airbnb design language system – that supports 300+ designers and multiple businesses. 

On this team I worked on redesigning the search filter interface for the main Airbnb product to make it more accessible, user friendly, and to allow us to extend into multiple product tiers in the future.

While on this team I led the design of the Airbnb Developer site. This brought together all of the documentation and tools from every team at Airbnb into a central location. The goal was to significantly increase developer productivity. I led the design, coordinated teams, ran workshops, and ran research sessions.

App-based marketplace for vacation rental accommodations. Enables travelers to discover & book vacation rentals hosted by peers. Users can register online, list & browse through properties including homes, villas, treehouses, workspaces, and shared spaces, and book short & long-term rental accommodations. Property owners can list their accommodations on the platform. They can make online bookings & payments through their platforms. Their app is available for Android & iOS devices.

App-based marketplace for vacation rental accommodations

Working on the Trust team focused on keeping the content on Airbnb authentic and safe for everyone. 

I led the design of the content moderation initiatives. This included revamping the user reporting flows across the product and designing the framework for verifying listings on Airbnb. These projects decreased incidents by 50% in 2017-2018. I planned the project, ran workshops, designed the interface, and helped run user testing sessions around the world.

Cloud-based customer data platform. It provides an API for developers to integrate and collect customer data and send it to multiple tools for analytics, marketing, data warehousing. It also provides multiple data sources to integrate and collect information like google analytics, HEAP, adobe analytics, flurry, mixpanel, etc. It also provides solutions for data governance.

Over the years I worked on a large number of projects. Some of them were large product releases that involved the entire company and others were small projects to enable and unblock product, marketing, and sales.

Impact
- Led the design for many product launches over the years, including Organizations, Warehouses, Workspaces, Tracking Plan, and Sources.
- Led the design and implementation of the company rebrand in 2015.
- Designed many different versions of the marketing site over the 4 years as the company grew and shifted focus.
- Created the first version of the design system we called Evergreen. Developed the type scales, colors, interaction patterns and components.
- Led the redesign of the product a number of times over the years as the scope of the product expanded and the focus shifted.
- Ran the design on-boarding for all new company employees, introducing them to the team and the design process to help build a culture of design thinking.

I was the first employee and designer at Segment back in 2013. I built the design team to support Sales, Marketing, and Product. I was closely involved with the business and product strategy and processes as the company grew from the 4 founders with no revenue to nearly 200 employees and multiple funding rounds.
