Antoni Sousa is an experienced Director of Quality and Patient Safety at Biofourmis, with a passion for connecting people and technology. With over 18 years of relevant experience, he has successfully led diverse teams to product completion, optimized processes, and continually improved. Antoni believes in continuously educating himself to meet the needs of ever-changing technology trends. In his current role at Biofourmis, Antoni drove the product vision and technical strategy for the Telemedicine platform, built company-wide policy and technical direction for MonitorMe, and crafted infrastructure plans, prioritization models, and operational procedures. He led a team of software engineers, DevOps engineers, and QA testers, adopted new technologies and practices into their customer-facing product suite, and implemented a globally accepted quality system to ensure compliance with regulatory mandates. Antoni evangelized MonitorMe as a technical leader externally and within the company, boosting MonitorMe’s talent pipeline and partner relationships. Previously, Antoni worked as the Director of Technology/CTO at MonitorMe, where he drove the product vision and technical strategy for the Telemedicine platform, led a team of software engineers, DevOps engineers, and QA testers, and implemented a globally accepted quality system to ensure compliance with regulatory mandates. He also worked as the Director of Web and Interface Innovation at Marist College, where he worked with startups to provide technology leadership and drive innovative efforts using advanced web, communications, social technologies, and learning management systems. Antoni holds an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Mount Saint Mary College. His tech stack includes QA, product management, DevOps, infra, web, senior software engineer, and microservices.
