Antti Makkonen is a seasoned gaming industry professional with over 14 years of experience in various roles. Currently, he is the VP of new games at Popcore, a mini games studio. In his previous role as General Manager at Scopely, he worked on a new puzzle game with innovative core gameplay. He also served as the Director of Roadmap of Barcelona studio for YAHTZEE® With Buddies. Before that, he was the VP of product at Social Point, where he worked on an unreleased story-driven puzzle RPG game. Antti has also worked at Rovio, where he was an Executive Producer for Angry Birds Dream Blast pre-production, Senior Producer for Angry Birds Blast and Angry Birds Pop, and a Producer for Angry Birds Stella. He was also a Producer at BugBear, where he worked on the pre-production of Wreckfest. In addition to his gaming industry experience, Antti has worked as a Symbian software developer at Flander and as a founder and mobile software developer at Runrabbit ltd, a small mobile game developer. He has also served as a project manager at Seven and held various roles at Sopima, including Partner, CTO, Engineering Manager, Head of Customer Support, and Production. Antti holds a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Turku and completed the Game Executive Program at Aalto University Executive Education Ltd. He also graduated from Niinivaaran Lukio as a high school graduate. Antti's tech stack includes senior software engineering, mobile development, software engineering, product management, and search. He is an avid gamer with profiles on Steam, PSN, and Xbox Live.
