Anuj Gupta is a Co-Founder and CTO at AppX, a startup that recently went through Y Combinator's S21 batch. He is a product-focused engineer who loves building products and seeing people interact with them. Anuj's passion for building started early when he built his first website, a simple note-taking web application using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. He then went on to build a website called randomstuffonline.com, which he set up as the default homepage for all the computers in his computer lab. Anuj spent three months building a web platform called memeveme.com, which was an Indian version of 9gag.com. This experience taught him the importance of MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and how to build better failures. As an engineer/developer, Anuj has no preference over the kind of things he builds. He believes it all depends on the customer's needs. He learned Android development by building clones of already existing apps and googling any roadblocks he encountered. Anuj has built more than 100 small applications before putting apps on the play store. With his professional career, Anuj has had the opportunity to work on exciting projects such as websites, apps, VR apps/games, AR apps/games, cross-platform apps, and platforms. Anuj's skillset includes ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, React Native, Flutter, Android, Node, MongoDB, HTML, and CSS. He has worked as a Full Stack Developer at Tripshire and a Software Developer at Camp K12. At both companies, Anuj helped build web-based AR/VR platforms to create realistic user experiences using A-Frame and Three.js on the front-end through HTML5 Canvas, along with the Express/Node.js backend for users. His role involved programming the website and the workspace using React, Redux, Immutable, and similar web technologies. Anuj completed his Btech in Computer Science from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology in 2017. He also attended GGSIPU. Anuj's relevant experience is 5.52 years.
