Anup Gandotra is a seasoned Engineering Leader with over a decade of experience in building and managing high-scale distributed systems to enable rapid business growth. He is currently working at Coinbase, a payments platform that supports transactions of billions of dollars every day for all Amazon customer and seller transactions. Anup leads the team that owns Transaction state management for interfacing with over 50 external banks and payment providers. He is actively hiring Managers and Engineers for his team. Anup has a passion for growing people and solving big hairy problems. He has worked with Amazon in the past, where he led the Fleet Monitoring organization, comprised of two software development teams. The first team owned fleet index, target, and monitor capabilities, while the second team owned security anomaly detection and mitigations through device metrics generation and anomaly detection through statistical methods and sophisticated machine-learned models. Both services together enable remote management of a fleet of devices. Anup has also worked as a Software Development Manager for PV Catalog Availability Systems at Amazon. In this role, he built brand new foundational components to transform Partner-delivered content rights for movies to Amazon intent of creating an offer on the content. He reduced the OE load of the existing platform by 50% with consistent focus on primary on-call bandwidth and improved OE best practices for sister teams through OE mechanisms. He built a brand new high-performing team of SDEs and increased the size from 3 to 10 in 4 months. He delivered 7 new high-quality launch-ready components of 125 man-month effort well in advance of any interim milestone and delivered high-quality Tier-1 systems through a remote team. Anup holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from MNNIT. He has relevant experience of 17.44 years and is proficient in AWS, Software Engineering, Web3, Web, Android, and iOS. Anup is an expert in his field and is passionate about building and managing high-performance teams to deliver top-quality results.
