Anupam Hans is an experienced HR professional with over 19 years of relevant experience. He grew up in a middle-class family and chose engineering over medical science for his graduation studies. Anupam developed an interest in art and culture later in life and has had the opportunity to study and work in the USA and Australia, building and working with multi-lingual and multi-cultural teams across the globe. After an accident in Sydney, Anupam decided to follow his heart and pursue a career in executive search despite strong resistance from within and outside. He spent three years in executive search consulting and then moved to the corporate world in HR roles, primarily focused on talent acquisition. During his five years in corporate HR, Anupam built and nurtured teams, worked with some of the sharpest minds, and hired thousands of professionals at all levels. He also led the charter for employer branding and candidate experience and managed talent management initiatives, including diversity and assessments for leadership development. Anupam then decided to come back to executive search through an entrepreneurial venture in 2016, but he realized that it was a mistake and returned to the corporate world, this time in the pharma industry. He joined one of the best HR teams in the country to drive an exciting transformation journey for an 80+ year old Indian company. Currently, Anupam is the Head of Human Resources for Corporate Functions at Cipla, where he leads HR for two commercial business units, 14 corporate functions, and Cipla Foundation and Cipla Palliative Care Center. He manages more than 1,000 employees located across multiple geographies. Anupam has a degree in B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from YMCA and an MBA in General Management from AGSM @ UNSW Business School. He has experience in search and is proficient in the tech stack. Anupam is passionate about making a difference in people's lives and looks forward to continuing to do so in his current role at Cipla.
