Anurag Awasthi is an experienced Software Engineer with a focus on AWS, Java, Golang, and AngularJS. Currently, he is working as an SDE 2 in AWS Kinesis Video Streams at Amazon. In this role, he is responsible for developing and maintaining the video streaming platform for Amazon's cloud services. Anurag has also worked as an SDE 2 in Automated Marketing Outbound at Amazon, where he was part of the Outbound Marketing Platform Team. Here, he created tools for creating and running large-scale customer-facing automated/semi-automated/manual marketing programs on various channels like Email, Push, and SMS. He also managed customer preferences for subscriptions and opt-outs across all Amazon offerings. Prior to Amazon, Anurag was a Member Of Technical Staff at Cohesity, where he worked across the product on multiple components involving Angular, C++, Golang, and Java. He primarily worked on a backup/recovery software written in Java that takes file-based backups of Unix systems like AIX and Solaris. His work involved scaling the agent so that it was able to handle large workloads gracefully while maintaining high throughput. Anurag is a graduate of Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2017. He has a total of 5.86 years of relevant experience in the industry, and his tech stack includes Software Engineering, AWS, Java, Golang, and AngularJS.
