Working in an analytics team that performs real-time aggregations and batch aggregations on pre-sales data to help our customers make an informed decision.
- Real-Time Aggregation Task - It is a java task which reads data from Kafka and performs in-memory aggregation for a time window of 10 minutes. After aggregating the data, it dumps it as a CSV file which is moved over to HDFS for batch aggregations. The Average count of rows aggregated is 402 million for an interval of 10 minutes.

- Batch Aggregations - We ran hourly as well as daily batch aggregations on the realtime aggregated data. To perform this we run Spark jobs on the data present in HDFS. We also store the data in phoenix DB as well as Redis cache for retrieving it from UI. The average count of the number of rows processed by our daily jobs is around 2 billion.

• Working on development of the Decision Lender 4.0 the new loan lending product of the company. It involved working as a full stack developer to implement new and important features in the product. (AngularJs, Java/J2EE, MSSql , Jquery,  REST, Spring, Maven) 

 a)   Implemented the Alert Management System which gives the client unique facility to generate different types of alerts which can be hooked to different events in the life cycle of the product. The client can  associate roles , add specific execution criteria as well as customize the layout of their alert Queues.
  
 b)   Implemented Long polling mechanism to replace the regular polling of alerts. So that the alert feature  can be more scalable and faster without using much network as well as server resource.

 c)	Implemented a customizable Work Queue {Applications’ listing table} in which clients can define the  columns as well the filters they want to apply on a specific column.

 d)	Implemented a 2 step authentication (MFA) functionality by integration Google’s authenticator API with our product.

 e)	Integrated our product with third party software vender like EOriginal to allow our product to have the capability of having electronic signing facility for applications’ documents.

 f)     Implemented Observable framework which observes different properties of an application and depending on client's requirement run jobs when that property is changed/not changed within a time          interval. Quartz Scheduler is used to run the jobs.

 g)	Implemented several screens’ end to end functionality {i.e. from UI to Backend} like login screen, users’        creation screen, attachments’ screen, etc.

Projects:

•	Working on Big Data Management (BDM) project to enhance its functionality to include Mongo DB and Cassandra (Java/J2EE, Mongo DB, Cassandra, Nimsoft, REST, JIRA, Maven) 

a)   Added MongoDB operations by implementing REST APIs to set the maximum size for a   shard, set/remove balancing window for a cluster, remove a node/shard from cluster and to shard a collection.
b)   Implemented storage summary facility for Cassandra and MongoDB
c)   Implemented “balancer” virtual role for a MongoDB cluster
d)   Integrating Cassandra UI into the installer

•	Secrets of Influential Writing: A Linguistic Analysis (2014). Analyzing the writing style of influential people’s tweets on twitter and using the analysis to find that whether a twitter account is more or less influential (JAVA, MSSQL, NLP Algorithms).

•	Smart Part Tracker (2014 – XSB PartLink App Developer Challenge, Runner’s up award). Developed an application in which, given an input product, a user can find similar competitive products based on the product’s specifications. User obtains competitive products' manufacturer, price and other data. (JAVA, Java Script, Anugular JS, Google maps API) 

•	SBU UNIX (2013). UNIX-style 64- bit OS with 4 level paging system, per-emptive scheduler, implementation of fork, exec and basic commands in shell to support file system. C, GDB.

•	Mining Personal Data (2013). Predicting individual’s field of interest and similarity between different individuals by using Data mining techniques on their respective tweets. JAVA, JSON

•    The Collateral Damage of Internet Censorshipby DNS Injection(2014) : Developing a system that will use RIPE ATLAS to fire HoneyQueries and find the ASes which are using DNS injection as censorship methodology.

•	Worked with the Technology Excellence Group of Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai on integration of new tools to IBM WCS V6 software, for presentation to client.

•	Worked on integration of SAP services to create a web services that will take order from       SAP and will populate the database tables of client’s website which is running on IBM WCS software.

•	Worked on automation of Build and Deployment tool of IBM WCS software, which gave me 
        an insight of SCM (Source Configuration Management) tools and Ant Script.

•	Worked for Walgreens Client’s KPI (Key Performance Indicator) project in TCS Noida office.

•	Was a member of the team which had to complete a fixed bid project on Page builder 
        framework.

•	Learned the various steps involved in Software development Life Cycle and about the 
        concepts of core JAVA like Collections, etc.

•	Worked for Zimmer Client’s Zimmer.com website in TCS Gurgaon office.

•	The project deals with the creation of a website for Zimmer, which showcases its various products which are available for its different country locations.

•	Cellular Automata Computation and Image Encryption (Dec 2009 to May 2010). Developed an application for image encryption using highly secured algorithm which was based on the concepts of cellular automata. C++, MATLAB.

•	Web Service Discovery (Jul 2009 to Nov 2010). Developed a system to discover web services by using ontology. Both semantic and syntactic web service discovery techniques were used to enhance the service discovery mechanism. JAVA, OWL

•	Blue Tooth Based Criminal Identification System (Dec 2008 to May 2009).  Developed an application which transfers a person’s picture from mobile phone to a server using Bluetooth (OBEX class of JAVA) and then the information related to that person stored on the database is received. JAVA

•	Minesweeper (Jul 2008 to Nov 2009). Developed an application similar to Minesweeper game installed in Windows. This project involved the concepts of Data Structures and Graphics. C
