Anurag has previously worked as a Senior Software Engineer at LinkedIn, where he played a crucial role in designing and implementing the first LinkedIn product built entirely out of India. The product aimed to help graduating students in emerging markets find jobs by connecting recruiters, students, and placement offices of colleges on a single platform. He built the backend APIs using MySQL DB and rest.li framework and a web application using play framework and LinkedIn's internal front-end technologies. Anurag's expertise in NoSQL technology was instrumental in building a product that helps early-stage job seekers connect with recruiters directly. He designed and implemented the complete database using LinkedIn's Espresso data store and created java-based rest.li APIs over it. Anurag's experience also includes adding over 29,000 schools to LinkedIn's database, collecting university information from the government of India and mapping those fields with the school schema at LinkedIn. He also worked on the SlideShare app, where he identified expired access tokens and created a flow to refresh them for better user engagement. He maintained and enhanced the SlideShare player, embed player, and social actions to increase the distribution of content and referral traffic.
