Anurodh Kanchan is a seasoned technical manager with 19 years of experience in system engineering, designing and maintaining complex SOA for high scale e-commerce, security operations, capacity planning, high availability, infrastructure platform services, site reliability engineering, audit compliance, AOP/budget planning and business continuity. He is currently the Vice President of Engineering at Swiggy, where he manages the system engineering and DevOps, platform and DevSecOps teams responsible for ensuring a 99.999 SLA for uptime of the production services. Anurodh is an expert in managing a large and highly diverse group of technical engineers, leads, architects and senior managers/leaders in multiple locations. Anurodh has a strong technical background and is proficient in providing support for SOA based architecture in NodeJS, Golang with backend in Java services. He has designed high scale, fault tolerance network infrastructure with complete redundancy and has scaled production setup to serve 100 thousand req/sec using Haproxy, Kong & Envoy. Anurodh is experienced in management, administration and setup of CDN/WAF platform and has experience of running entire production on cloud infrastructure with on-demand scaling. He has designed and implemented service discovery framework for very high scale SOA setup and has implemented solutions for serverless architecture and pre-prod using Kubernetes. Anurodh is also proficient in designing, managing and setting up datastore platform which includes MySQL, Dynamodb, Cassandra and caching/queuing systems like Redis & Kafka in a high availability environment. He has facilitated and drafted process for ensuring compliance with ITCG, SOX, ISO 27001/23001 and PCIDSS. Anurodh has experience of setting up comprehensive monitoring for APM/RUM Nagios, Pager duty, statsd/graphite, newrelic, keynote & google analytics. Prior to Swiggy, Anurodh was the Senior Director of System Engineering at Myntra where he managed the system engineering team responsible for running and managing the production environment. He also managed the AOP & tech budget to ensure the company moves towards EBITDA positive and was responsible for the audit compliance for PCIDSS/ISO 23001. Anurodh has also worked at Yahoo as a Manager of Service Engineering where he was responsible for application administration, maintenance, support of all media properties (Yahoo Finance, sports, entertainment, movies, games and music).
