Anusha Mangal is a highly skilled Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington, where she is currently pursuing her Master's Thesis under the guidance of Dr. Brian Fabien in the Dynamics and Controls Laboratory. Her research work focuses on developing a robust vehicle dynamics model that addresses the coupling between longitudinal, lateral, and vertical dynamics. She aims to track changes in Euler angles with time, which are used in most navigation algorithms, and remove some assumptions made in former algorithms that have a significant effect under any real scenario. Anusha has a strong background in vehicle dynamics and controls, and her previous experience includes working as a member of the Controls and Simulations Team of the University for Eco-car development, sponsored by General Motors and supported by MathWorks. Her responsibility was to improve the handling of the car with the help of better controls by employing advanced mathematical models for vehicle dynamics. She has also worked as a Project Assistant at Boeing, where she designed and developed the system and interface for component identification along with operations to be carried out at different work-stations, including work instructions. The system she developed made it possible to track and monitor any component being worked upon in real-time. Anusha holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, where she is currently pursuing her thesis. She also has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur.
