Anushka Shukla is a final year undergraduate student pursuing a major in Economics and a minor in Mathematics and Computing from IIT Kharagpur. She is a data Analysis and Machine/Deep Learning enthusiast. Currently, she is working as an Analyst at American Express (AmEx). Anushka has a total of 1.76 years of relevant experience, having previously worked as a Software Engineer at Kaleyra and as a Summer Business Analyst at Capital Float. At Capital Float, she worked on two projects. In the first project, she improved the confidence score of income estimation by designing a cumulative model out of the 4 existing models. She designed various machine learning models, including Decision Tree and Linear Regression, to combine the income estimation models. She improved the confidence score by 10% as compared to the original model by engineering a self-designed decision tree model. In the second project, she achieved a higher confidence score in income prediction by relabeling the self-employed and salaried users. She generated new features from an existing dataset of banking features by formulating SQL queries on Google BigQuery API. She refined the area under the ROC curve by 50% (0.67 to 0.97) by designing a Weight of Evidence Logistic Regression model. Anushka's education history includes pursuing a Master of Science degree in Economics from IIT Kharagpur, which she is expected to complete in December 2022.
