Aparna Jain is a full-time iOS engineer with Android experience, currently working as a Senior UI Engineer at Netflix. With over 12 years of relevant experience, she has built and taught iOS with Objective C and Swift, and has a deep understanding of mobile architecture, product+UI design, and A/B testing. Aparna has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Fox Sports and Zynga, where she developed and led engineers to build high-quality mobile apps. At Fox Sports, she implemented an SDK using Cocoapods for other teams in the company to use common UI features and help modularize the code. She also mentored new developers with no experience in iOS and had them contributing successfully on new features all the way to production, in a couple of months. Additionally, Aparna built parts of the backend system to get more familiar with the entire stack and to be able to easily integrate with the mobile front-end. Apart from her work experience, Aparna has also graduated two intensive iOS and Android app development bootcamps with Codepath. She built multiple apps from scratch to learn and practice many features of the platforms. The final app was to come up with a group project implementing everything from wireframes to the finished product. Aparna holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a B.E. in Information Technology from Maharashtra Institute of Technology. Her specialties include Objective C, Swift, Javascript, Java, AJAX, JSON and REST, Xcode, Android Studio, and PHP. In her spare time, Aparna enjoys surfing and being a mom. She is a content creator and also works as a designer and frontend/backend developer. With her diverse skill set and extensive experience, Aparna is a valuable asset to any team looking to build high-quality mobile apps.
