Apoorv Kumar is a highly skilled and experienced technology professional with a passion for using technology to create innovative finance products and systems. With almost 9 years of experience in the industry, he has a proven track record of assembling and managing top-notch product teams to build highly usable, reliable, and scalable systems. Currently, Apoorv is the Cofounder and CTO of Refyne, Asia's largest earned wage access platform. He is part of an incredible team and backed by the world's most premier fintech VC funds, having raised over $100M backed by QED, Tiger Global & DST Partners. In his current role, he is responsible for leading the technology team and ensuring that the platform is tailored to meet the needs of its end-users. Prior to Refyne, Apoorv worked as a Tech Consultant, where he helped startups and businesses build their first tech stack. He was particularly interested in finance-oriented stacks, including lending, investments, and payments. He also worked as VP Technology & Founding Member at Shubhloans where he built the next-gen lending systems and smart credit scoring using geo-analytics, natural language processing, and behavior analysis. Apoorv is a graduate of IIT Guwahati, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He has expertise in Senior Software Engineering, NLP, Microservices, Mobile, and Web technologies. Apoorv is an excellent communicator and enjoys working closely with end-users to ensure that the systems he builds are tailored to their needs.
