Apoorv Piplodiya is a Senior Business Analyst at EXL and a recent graduate of IITR. With 2.18 years of relevant experience, Apoorv has worked with top companies like Protiviti and Volvo in the past. At Protiviti, he worked as a Consultant II in Business Performance Improvement and was responsible for analyzing extensive data sets using advanced MS-Excel and Python. He also prepared monthly management dashboards and purchase review reports using Power BI. Apoorv worked on the category cost reduction of the inner boxes and PVC Compound used to manufacture shoes, which helped the company save a significant amount of money. He also analyzed the Make vs Buy of Knitted Vamps, which resulted in an annual savings of 1 Crore for the company. Apoorv established new inner and outer box vendors, which helped the company save 15 Lacs per year. As an intern at Volvo, Apoorv worked on implementing Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions in the powertrain plant to digitalize the entire plant and take a step forward towards smart industry. He studied the plant layout, different CNC machines, cycle time, down time, engine block and head, engine assembly, and worked on sorting machine data to identify which machine caused the maximum downtime and would be used for phase 1 implementation. Apoorv prepared quotations for vendors to propose appropriate solutions according to their needs and requirements, generated comparison data in meetings, and finally selected a vendor for the solution implementation. He used MS-Excel (Intermediate), Time Study, and Data Analysis tools for this project. Apoorv holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Production and Industrial Engineering from IITR and completed his matriculation and intermediate studies from Guru Harkrishan Public School. He is proficient in Python and has a strong understanding of data analysis and visualization tools.
