Apurva Ankleshwaria is an accomplished entrepreneur and a founding member of Bert Labs, an IoT-AI startup that provides cutting-edge technology in Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things to Building Automation, Process Optimization, Predictive Maintenance, and Factory Automation. He has a passion for building products from scratch and has set up processes and developed finished products for the company. Apurva leads Bert Optimus, an Artificial Intelligence platform for the company that is developed using Reinforcement Learning based control framework and digital twins of factory equipment and process lines using Deep Learning models and physics system models. He has filed 6 patents and is doing groundbreaking work in AI. Prior to Bert Labs, Apurva was a founding member at Switch, an IoT startup in Home Automation space, and worked with Cadence's Analog Mixed Signal team during the start of his career. He has a product guy at heart and his passion is to build products from scratch. At Bert Labs, he understands the client's problems to build a product that exactly knows their pain and works to alleviate that. Apurva has led the development of Optimus solution for domains like HVAC, Pharma clean room HVAC, Automotive Paint shop, Cement manufacturing, Soda ash manufacturing, and personal care manufacturing products in FMCG industry. He leads a team of Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Physics system modelling Engineers and is responsible for understanding the domain and translating the understanding into Bert Labs solution. Apurva has been involved in multiple areas for Bert Labs and initially led Bert Maximus and Qrious, which is the IoT devices and Wireless Sensor network platform of Bert Labs. He was instrumental in developing the first Bert Labs solution at Unilever House, head-office of Hindustan Unilever Limited in Mumbai, which involved a solution with 1000+ IoT devices installed as part of the wireless sensor network. Apurva has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics from BITS Pilani and has relevant experience of 8.53 years. He has a strong tech stack that includes BERT, AI, Data Scientist, Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, infra, Research Scientist, and Computer Vision.
