Apurva Garware is a highly experienced Director of Product Management with a proven track record of driving growth and success for leading companies in the education and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Product Management, Learning Experience at Chegg Inc., Apurva is responsible for leading the development of innovative learning experiences that help students achieve their academic goals. In her current role, Apurva leads a global team of over 25 PMs, UX designers, and learning design experts, driving the 0-1 strategy for omni-channel habit-forming that enables students to stay on track and succeed in their studies. She has also led Chegg's personalization strategy, making investments in content taxonomy, relevancy algorithms, and user profile data to deliver personalized recommendations to students. Prior to her current role, Apurva served as the Director of Product Management for Chegg Study, where she drove various acquisition and retention themes that grew Chegg's subscriber base by 30-40% YoY. She also led the product strategy for Chegg's international expansion and directly managed a global team of six Group/Principal PMs. Before joining Chegg, Apurva worked as the Lead Product Manager at Medium, where she launched personalized recommendations and developed the product strategy for Medium's Topic ontology. She also led a cross-functional team of 20+ engineers, UX designers, UXR, and Data Science.
