Aqumar Hussain is a highly motivated Data Scientist and Natural Language Processing Research Engineer with over 8 years of relevant experience. He is currently a Senior Engineer - Software at iamplus electronics pvt ltd, where he is a part of the research team working on building intelligent systems. Aqumar is passionate about the world of data and its analytics, and how it drives the business world. He keeps himself updated with the latest research in the field of data science. His intense interest in the field of data science includes making business and marketing decisions from raw data through data analytics pipeline. This extends his interest in the field of Machine Learning and Statistical techniques, Operation Research, Web and Data Mining, Probabilistic models, and Predictive modeling. Prior to his current role, Aqumar worked as an Analytics Lead at Publicis Media, where he drove advertising data by applying attribution and market mix modeling techniques and provided solutions to clients by turning data into actionable insights. He also managed a team of interns and worked closely with them on defining the problem statement and helping them find solutions. Aqumar also worked as a Data Scientist at DBS Bank, where he built a machine learning binary classifier to predict which ATM branch is at risk using past bank branch data. He also built a machine learning model using gradient boosting algorithm to predict which part of ATM machine (Card Reader, Card Dispenser, Bunch note acceptor) is likely to fail using past ATM data of individual ATMs. Additionally, he built a simulation model to predict the waiting time and queue length for each hour on each day of the week for all DBS and POSB ATMs across the country. Aqumar holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore. He also completed the AI for Healthcare course from Udacity.
