Aravind Chandramouli is a highly skilled Head of Data Science at Tredence Inc. with over 15 years of relevant experience in the field. He has a PhD in Computer Science with specialization in Information Retrieval and Machine Learning from the University of Kansas. Aravind has a strong technical leadership and experience in building and running a high performing Data Science practice with low attrition. Aravind has utilized his singular problem solving and analytical skills to build innovative solutions for tough business problems in the areas of Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing. He has a unique blend of software development and research skills that enables solving the actual business problem by building systems that houses complex custom algorithms. Aravind has delivered multiple Big Data projects using structured and unstructured data like Clickstream, Voice Transcripts and Chat on terabytes of data. He has authored 10 research publications and filed 7 patents in the areas of Statistical Modeling and Text Mining (One Grant). Prior to Tredence, Aravind worked at Fidelity as a Data Scientist - Senior Lead, where he led a high performing team that solves tough business problems in the areas of Machine Learning and Text Mining. He developed innovative systems that went beyond the vanilla plug and play and used innovation to solve the real business problem. Some of the sample systems he developed include Agent Virtual Assistant, Issue Identification from Voice Transcripts, and Customer Intent Modeling. Aravind also worked at General Electric as an Applied Researcher, where he worked as an individual contributor on various text mining efforts with different GE business. Aravind has a strong Tech Stack that includes Data Scientist, Research Scientist, Information Retrieval, ML, NLP, Big Data, Software Engineer, language models, and Deep Learning.
