Aravinda Rao is a Full Stack Engineer with over 11 years of relevant experience in software development. Currently working at Mixrank as an Engineer, he has proven expertise in architecting systems end-to-end and leading a team of developers in a fast-paced startup environment. Aravinda has worked with several companies in the past, including Xapo and Smokescreen. At Xapo, he joined the v2 revamp endeavor of all Risk services and became the owner and lead developer of two of the three major services in the Risk ecosystem. He built, deployed, and oversaw numerous features around transactional security and risk analysis of crypto/fiat funds transfers, user-behavior analysis. He also led the long-term project to enhance the company's risk analysis capabilities with a ground-up revamp of their systems into a DSL-based rule-engine. At Smokescreen, he took ownership of all frontend aspects of the product and built out a highly interactive dashboard that visualized the client's network as a live graph, visualizing attacker-activity in real-time. Aravinda holds a B. Tech degree in Computer Science from CET - IILM Academy of Higher Learning, Greater Noida. He has a strong technical skill set and is proficient in Frontend, Backend, Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Redux. Throughout his career, Aravinda has established practices such as having RFC documents before actual implementations for all mid/large-sized features, dedicating 10% sprint capacity to keep cleaning old problematic code, and having assigned firefighters in each sprint. He has also laid down and refined patterns that helped team members implement features with a sense of consistency in the codebase.
