Aravindan Ve is a highly skilled and experienced Head of Engineering with a passion for building innovative products and finding creative solutions to complex problems. He is currently working at Streamkast, where he is responsible for engineering management, platform architecture, backend development, data modeling, and DevOps for an interactive live streaming, on-demand video, and e-commerce platform. With over 9 years of relevant experience, Aravindan has a strong background in JavaScript, TypeScript, Golang, NodeJS, and PHP, among other technologies. He has led a team of five engineers to realize the product roadmap and managed the overall software development lifecycle for Web, iOS, Android, Data Warehouse, and DevOps. He has also upgraded the backend for delivery of WebRTC and HLS based video live streaming and video-on-demand at scale with loosely coupled services for graceful degradation. Aravindan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Communication from Hindustan College of Arts & Science. He has worked as a web developer at Ripples Learning and has also worked as a filmmaker and graphic designer. He has designed and built an assessment platform end-to-end that included content sharing, social elements, privacy features, gamification, notifications, file sharing, and reporting. He has also built multiple productivity tools for internal consumption. Aravindan has an interest in distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, interactive live streaming, content delivery, and declarative programming. He is adept at using Kubernetes, MongoDB, AWS, Azure, Redis, and Docker. He is experienced in implementing web-based multiparty live video conferencing using a 3rd party WebRTC service provider with dynamic bandwidth optimization, layouts, screen sharing, and moderation in React. Aravindan is a Senior Software Engineer, Research Scientist, and Designer who is constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow.
