Arbaaz Dharmavaram is a Software and Deep Learning Engineer at Target, with a passion for building products and solving problems using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. With over four years of relevant experience, he has honed his skills in Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Python Programming, Computer Vision, LSTMs, Image Processing, and Flask Framework. Arbaaz's journey to discovering his field of passion began with experimenting and going hands-on with various technologies under Computer Science. He soon discovered his love for Machine Learning and Deep Learning, which has made his work even more enjoyable and engaging. He is currently working on a product that detects theft at Target's stores self-checkout and ensures merchandise gets scanned and paid right. One of Arbaaz's notable achievements is an app that analyses everyday tweets to detect emerging trends/topics and to track them over a period of time in terms of their usage and polarity. He is passionate about leveraging his skills in this domain to continue building products that can impact people's lives. Arbaaz has designed and developed Object Detection Models, Image Captioning, KeyPoint Detection, and defined roadmaps with timelines and all available resources for the projects. He has also worked on Product Detection/Localization using Optical Flow and Background Modelling, and designed and deployed CNN architecture for Siamese Networks. Aside from his technical skills, Arbaaz is also proud of his off-the-shore skills, including playing Guitar and Music Composition.
