Archana Katiyar is a proven and result-oriented technology leader with over 14 years of experience in PaaS web services, cloud technologies, and client-server architectures. Currently, she is working as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft, leading the Azure Backup Team. Archana has hands-on experience in management, design, and development for established software development companies and start-ups. At Microsoft, Archana has designed, developed, and deployed a critical Azure PaaS Service capable of copying millions of Azure Files from one AFS to another. She has also designed an Azure PaaS service to backup AFS into a cheaper storage, Azure Blobs, which was a hard design as AFS can have millions of files and can grow up to 500 TB in size. Archana has also designed a solution for automated roll over of storage keys for the Azure storage accounts owned by Azure backup, a tricky problem to solve as new storage accounts are added in Azure Backup services at run time. Before joining the Azure Backup Team, Archana worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, where she gained experience in Azure and software engineering. She has also worked as an Engineering Manager with one of the leading EdTech Startups. Archana holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute. She is skilled in Senior Software Engineering, Azure, Web, test, Javascript, MongoDB, Microservices, Mobile, Backend, NodeJS, and Android.
