Archana Masilamani is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 9 years of experience in designing and building software solutions. Her passion for learning new technologies and providing optimized solutions to real-world problems is evident in her work. Currently, she is working as a Software Engineer II at Uber, where she is focused on building the Customer Engagement Platform. Archana has a strong background in backend development, NoSQL, Python, Java, Puppet, Spark, Big Data, Docker, MySQL, Cassandra, Elastic Search, and Flask. She has worked as a Research Scientist and has experience in constructing data pipelines across services to expand company-wide expertise in the field of big data and data storage technologies. She has also built REST APIs with Python and Flask to enable data analysis for internal research teams and report generation for users. Prior to joining Uber, Archana worked at Oracle, where she developed key features for Oracle Cloud security service, Cloud Guard, to provide a unified view of security posture across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure customer tenants. She also designed and developed Control Plane REST APIs in accordance with the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure wide API guidelines. At Lastline, Inc., she designed and developed Network Security product backend and data infrastructure to improve the Knowledge Base Product. She containerized the existing data infrastructure services using Docker and Puppet and identified signals from network sensor data and built data infrastructure for network security research using Python, Cassandra, MySQL, ElasticSearch, and Spark. Archana holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Science from Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology. She completed her secondary education at SBOA Matriculation and Higher Secondary School and St. Francis Anglo Indian Girls High School.
