Archit Taneja is a highly skilled kernel engineer and children's book author with over 13 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working as a Software Architect at Cradlewise, where he is responsible for the software running on their device. This includes kernel peripheral drivers, performance tuning, Linux distribution package maintenance, IoT stack for connectivity with other devices and the cloud, low latency video streaming, production line and factory software, and proprietary services that enable device intelligence. Archit has previously worked at Texas Instruments as a Software Engineer, where he primarily focused on open source Linux kernel development. He contributed to OMAP Display subsystem (DSS) driver, and the corresponding framebuffer, DRM V4L2-display drivers. He is also the author and maintainer of the kernel v4l2 VPE driver found in the newer TI automotive SoCs. Besides, he has contributed to arch/board related baseport stuff needed to enable the peripherals connected to the above SoC blocks. Archit has also worked at Qualcomm as a Senior Lead Software Engineer, where he upstreamed Qualcomm SoC kernel drivers. He was a major contributor to MSM DRM KMS driver and an active member of the DRM KMS community. He was also a co-maintainer of DRM bridge drivers. Archit enabled display on DB410c/DB820c Dragonboards on the mainline Linux kernel. Additionally, he worked on and upstreamed Qualcomm MTD NAND drivers and dmaengine drivers. Apart from his work in the kernel engineering field, Archit is also a children's book author and illustrator. He has written and illustrated several children's books, which are available on Amazon.
