Archit Taneja is a Senior Technical Product Manager at Amazon and an MBA student at Foster School of Business, University of Washington. He graduated from IIIT-Delhi with a major in Computer Science and has a keen interest in Machine Learning and Data Analysis to solve real-world problems. Archit has a strong technical background, having been involved with multiple research groups at his institute and completed various technical internships. As a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, he has developed strategies and used multiple parallelization, multi-threading, and pre-caching techniques for optimization and latency improvement by about 10% in various backend services that handle Customer Returns and its data. He has also developed a generic data warehouse service that performs ETL jobs and aggregates and publishes Customer Returns data to an Oracle data warehouse. Archit migrated a legacy data warehouse service to use SQS, enabling horizontal scalability of the service. He was also involved in a warehouse launch in Indianapolis that is supposed to handle FDA compliant medical devices. Archit's experience also includes working as an Undergraduate Researcher at Image Analysis and Biometrics Lab, IIIT-Delhi, where he researched the scope of fingerphoto recognition using mobile devices and possible spoofing attacks the system might be vulnerable to. The aim of this project was to conceive and formulate accurate methodologies to detect spoofed fingerphoto images using different Image Analysis and Machine Learning techniques. The work has been accepted at IEEE BTAS'16. Archit is currently pursuing an MBA from the University of Washington, Foster School of Business. His tech stack includes Product Manager, Research Scientist, ML, Software Engineer, Data Warehouse, Mobile, ETL, and Backend. With 6.86 years of relevant experience, Archit has a broad technical horizon and is equipped with skills to perform well in the software industry.
