Arib Alam is a highly motivated and passionate computer science enthusiast with a focus on software development that positively impacts the general public. With a background in mathematics and computing from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Arib has honed his skills in full-stack web development, with hands-on experience in major web technologies such as Python, Java, and JavaScript. Arib's latest web application, "Sarathi," is a platform that allows college students to find and create travel groups among themselves and share rides. He developed this progressive web application from scratch, using ReactJS as the front-end and NodeJS + Express as the back-end connected to a MongoDB database. With 1.19 years of relevant experience, Arib has worked as a Member of Technical Staff at Nutanix, where he worked with the DevEx team on building the GUI of a log analyzer (Panacea) using ReactJS that automatically creates JSON rules for log analysis. He also created a web API and CLI for the log analyzer using Golang and built a terminal plotting tool using gnuplot and Python to plot meminfo files. Arib is currently a LFX Mentorship - Vitess at CNCF, where he is responsible for managing and maintaining the project as well as helping people willing to contribute to the project. He is also a Google Summer of Code (GSoC) '21 participant at TARDIS-SN. Arib is well-versed in various technologies, including web development, Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, Golang, and ML. He is currently exploring the field of artificial intelligence and is extremely fascinated by the possibilities it has to offer. Arib is an open-source lover and has contributed to various open-source projects.
