Ariel Weinberger is a Principal Engineer at Amplication, with over 6 years of relevant experience in the field. He is passionate about simplifying complex problems and loves spreading the word and explaining technical concepts. Ariel is a promoter of true domain ownership and accountability within teams, with high visibility and communication above all. He is experienced in developer tools, productivity boosters, distributed systems, scalability, observability, maintainability, Node.js, cloud-native and Serverless technologies and micro frontends. Apart from tech and people, Ariel loves mentorship, engineering culture, knowledge sharing, and education in engineering. He has a Master of Science in Computer Science and International Business from the University of Cumbria. He also has a background in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Ort Colleges and Electronics and Electro-Optics Technology from the Israeli Air Force. Ariel has worked in various companies, including Amplication and Abcam. At Amplication, he stepped off his position as VP of R&D so he could be more hands-on. He is currently acting as the interim VP of R&D in the meantime. At Abcam, he was the Head of Engineering and was responsible for setting up the new Development Center in Amsterdam as part of Abcam’s Digital Transformation. He also bootstrapped a 50+ engineering department consisting of multiple cross-functional, self-serving product squads to enable the delivery of their new Digital Platform. Ariel is skilled in Senior Software Engineering, NodeJS, Javascript, DevOps, AWS, SRE, QA, Docker, Typescript, Kafka, Microservices, and Frontend. He is a speaker and educational content producer, sharing his knowledge and expertise with others.
