Arighna Chakrabarty is a highly skilled Software Engineer with 2.78 years of relevant experience in the technology industry. Currently, he is working as an SWE 2 at Microsoft, where he is part of the Application Gateway team in Azure Networking. Arighna is responsible for designing and developing software solutions that help improve the performance and reliability of the Azure platform. Before joining Microsoft, Arighna worked as a Student Developer at SymPy, where he was selected for the prestigious Google Summer of Code program in 2019. During his time at SymPy, Arighna worked on implementing more operations and improving the existing Formal Power Series methods and classes. He also optimized the existing limit algorithms and unified all the existing series expansions under one class base. Arighna is a passionate advocate for open-source software development and has previously worked as the Open Source Head at Coding Club, IIT Guwahati. In this role, he coordinated open-source activities in the campus and increased awareness about contributing to open-source projects. Arighna also created IITG.FOSS, a dedicated intra-campus group focused on promoting open-source culture in the campus. He held Git sessions for freshmen and sophomores and organized talks and small PR sessions to promote the culture of Google Summer of Code among students. Arighna holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. He also has a background in Science, having completed his ISC and ICSE from Don Bosco School, Bandel. Arighna's technical skills include Software Engineering, Research Science, and Azure.
