Arijit Basu is a Software Engineer with over 6 years of experience as a Full Stack developer. He is passionate about writing scalable code and has a strong background in UI design, server-side development, API's/Web Services, and database design and implementation. Currently, Arijit works as a Software Engineer ll at Trimble MAPS in the Fleet navigation/Geo Logistics industry, where he works across multiple fleet navigation apps. Before his current role, Arijit worked in the financial domain as a Full Stack Developer, where he handled a wide range of applications including web, desktop, and batch. He loves automating tasks and is a great believer in BDD. Arijit strongly believes in team efforts through Agile Frameworks like Scrum that help to analyze bottlenecks at an early stage and make the process smoother to deliver quality products. Arijit has experience working with small products and understanding an entire product life cycle, and how good code can be written for its long-term sustainability. His past experiences include working as a Technical Intern - Software Developer with DST Systems, where he focused on modifying the Testing Tools, improving the Design, and reorganizing code. He also worked as a Student Research Assistant with the Information and Telecommunication Technology Center (ITTC), where he researched in the field of Image Retrieval and Image Processing, focusing on Text and Visual Features in Content-Based Image Retrievals. Arijit holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the Heritage Institute of Technology. He has a strong Tech Stack that includes Software Engineering, Web, AWS, UI, SQL, Designer, MongoDB, Jenkins, Microservices, Java, Backend, Selenium, Test, Javascript, Spring, and AngularJS. Currently, Arijit is also working as a Maths Tutor at the Academic Achievement and Access Center, where he teaches Calculus 1 and Linear Algebra, making sure that the students get comfortable with his teaching and open up for any questions. He ensures that they are at par with the subject before exams.
