Arindam Chanda is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer currently building the Data Cloud platform at Snowflake. With over 10 years of relevant experience, he has an unwavering passion for learning new things and working with cross-functional teams across multiple domains. Arindam's professional journey has seen him evolve into a quick learner and an excellent team player, with knowledge in many key domains that helps him thrive in a constantly challenging technology world. Arindam's current roles and responsibilities revolve around developing cloud-native distributed systems that scale to hundreds of nodes and several thousand pods, in keeping with a highly secure API design. His toolset includes Go, Helm-charts/files, Terraform, ArgoCD, Jenkins, and Docker, among others, on AWS and Kubernetes. He is highly skilled in writing codes to glue together the SDLC for cloud-native apps, which is highly challenging. Throw Kubernetes in the mix, and we now have a whole new dimension of scalability problems to solve. Arindam's career has spanned over systems engineering, network administration, network protocol development, and software development. He has embraced the fact that he has had the opportunity to work with highly talented people who gave him a chance to learn by putting their trust in him. He wears a lot of different hats at his line of work, from time to time. Arindam's career interests include Distributed Systems, Infrastructure Engineering, Kubernetes, SaaS, PaaS, Resiliency and Reliability, Scalable Web Applications, Event Driven Systems, and MicroService Architecture. He has worked with several companies in the past, including Salesforce and Barclays, where he developed scalable multi-region architectures, infrastructure security, and REST APIs for F5 Load Balancers. Arindam holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Networks and Systems from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He also has a High School Diploma from Holy Cross School, Silchar, Assam.
