Arindam Das is a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin Madison, majoring in Computer Science. He is actively seeking full-time roles in Software Development/Engineering starting in January 2023 or May 2023. Arindam has over 1.78 years of relevant experience in the field of Software Engineering and Computer Science. Currently, Arindam is working as an IT Advanced Support Specialist at UW-Madison, Division of Information Technology (DoIT). He is the primary technology provider for the university and assists students, faculty, employees, and other customers with issues pertaining to campus IT products and services such as networks, email, canvas, outages, duo MFA, and a variety of other domains. Additionally, he provides advanced support for products and services such as Cisco VoIP, WebEx, Microsoft Teams and Office 365, Box, Zoom, Router registrations/troubleshooting, etc. Arindam also trains new agents by guiding them with case and priority handling, using the knowledgebase repositories, and shadowing sessions with their cases to ensure an easy transition to the work environment. Arindam has previously worked as a Research Project Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he collaborated with HCI researchers to conduct occupational therapy studies, design, develop and integrate an API for object prediction, identification, and auditory feedback to assist visually impaired people with spatial navigation. He also programmed in Python and integrated various Computer Vision frameworks, including Darknet – a neural network framework to train the models that resulted in a model with 90% accuracy in identifying workaday objects. Arindam has also worked as a Software Engineer 1 at Cerner, where he developed a variety of IT solutions for healthcare providers around the globe, including the development of Electronic Health Records. He managed, developed, and optimized database applications using SQL and Java. Additionally, he conducted unit testing using testing frameworks to deliver high-quality robust software to the customers. Arindam automated the process of generating EHRs, collaborated and engaged in Agile software development, and aimed at making the customer experience better by understanding and prioritizing customer needs. Arindam has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which he is expected to complete in 2022.
