Arjit Sharma is a Senior Software Engineer with 9 years of experience in Software Development and Machine Learning. He holds a Masters of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from Liverpool John Moores University, London. Arjit is a goal-oriented, self-motivated, and a good team player with a strong desire to learn. He has experience in mentoring juniors, interviewing candidates, and following SCRUMS. Arjit has expertise in various technologies such as Python, Java, SQL, PySpark, Databricks, PytorchLighting, MLFLow, Distributed Training, Restful Web Services, Redis/CouchBase, Apache Kafka, AWS EC2, S3, Sagemaker, and more. He has published a full thesis and a research paper on "Urban Autonomous Driving using Deep Reinforcement Learning" involving object detection, Latent space extraction using VAE, and deep RL using TD3 and SAC methods. Currently, Arjit is working as a Software Development Engineer III at Expedia Group and has previously worked with MakeMyTrip. He has led the development of a Reinforcement Learning Agent prototype for Goal-Oriented Chatbots using Off-policy Deep Q-Learning to drive intelligent conversations with users. He has also worked on increasing the overall accuracy of Recommended Objective Supervised ML Model and developed a data pipeline to filter, cleanse, partition raw data for RO model training. Arjit has published work on Gesture Recognitions and Machine Language Translations on Kaggle.
