Arjun Ahuja is a highly skilled software engineer with a passion for solving complex problems and optimizing algorithms. He holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. Arjun has garnered over four years of relevant experience, working with some of the leading companies in the industry. Arjun's expertise lies in creating products with AWS technologies such as DynamoDB, CloudFormation, Data Pipeline, CloudWatch, EMR, Lambda, Elastic Search, SNS, SQS, RDS, and EC2. He has also worked with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and Spring for Amazon Giveaway. Arjun has a deep understanding of Spark, Java, and Elastic Search, and has recently redesigned and optimized a prediction model with PySpark. Arjun has worked with Palantir Technologies as a Software Engineer, where he is currently working on Gotham Search. Prior to this, he worked with Columbia University in New York as a Course Assistant and Advisor for COMS 4113 Distributed Systems and as Head Teaching Assistant for EECS 4750 Heterogeneous Computing. He is a quick learner and has a strong drive to see how algorithms work, always questioning if they can be optimized further. He has formulated his own algorithm to work like countDistinct, which has worked 80% faster and with a 75% reduction in shuffle writes without any Memory issues.
