Arjun Bharat is a highly enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a passion for computer science and mathematics. He has a keen interest in data structures, algorithms, compiler design, and automata theory. Arjun is currently pursuing a research project on compiler design, with guidance from his professor and industrial collaboration. He has also completed coursework in other areas of computer science, such as machine learning and graph theory, as well as management studies. Arjun is a team player who enjoys contributing to ideas and making impactful decisions. He has interned in both financial technology and product-based companies, gaining valuable experience in different domains. Currently, Arjun is a Senior Member Technical at DE Shaw, where he is a member of the quantitative commodities division of the energy project group. He focuses on quantitative strategies for energy resources such as coal, natural gas, crude oil, and petroleum. Arjun has a strong background in event management, having held leadership positions in two editions of Shaastra, a technical festival for school children across India. He led a team of 200 to organize events aimed at promoting technological innovation, research, and subject knowledge. During his time as Events Head, Coding and Logic, Arjun led a team of 17 coordinators and 36 volunteers to organize a total of 13 events in Shaastra 2020, an addition of 5 new events compared to the previous edition. Arjun holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He also completed his 12th standard from the National Institute of Open Schooling and his 10th standard from Sishya. Arjun has a strong tech stack, including software engineering, research science, machine learning, and Python. With 2.19 years of relevant experience, Arjun is a highly skilled and motivated professional with a bright future ahead of him.
