Arjun Biswas is an experienced software engineer currently working at Google. With over 13 years of experience in the industry, Arjun possesses a diverse range of skills and expertise in programming, cloud platforms, and open-source software. He has extensive experience in GCP and AWS cloud and has worked with Kubernetes, Terraform, Consul, ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, Kafka, Storm, NGINX, Redis, Postgres, Cassandra, Bazel Maven, Spring, Dropwizard, Business Rule Engines, BPMN, AKKA actors, XML, XSLT, and JSON. Arjun is currently a member of the API Gateway for hybrid platforms and cloud team at Google. He is responsible for developing and monitoring Kubernetes controllers, API gateways, and microservices, and optimizing query performance. He is also part of the OSS container security team, where he analyzes and creates base container images to secure the supply chain. Prior to his current role at Google, Arjun worked as a Senior Software Engineer at AppDynamics, where he extensively used Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, Apache Zookeeper, and Java SDK, as well as Python BOTO SDK for AWS Cloud Platform. He also built a state-driven SAAS cluster manager from scratch using Java, Python, Docker, and Oracle Virtualbox. Arjun has also worked as a Senior Member of Technical Staff at TIBCO Software Inc., where he designed and developed the flagship TIBCO Log Management product from scratch using Kafka, Zookeeper, and H2 Database. He also developed and maintained TIBCO BusinessEvents, a RETE-based enterprise rule engine. Arjun holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology. He is experienced in mentoring junior candidates and leading teams and is interested in designing products from scratch with extensive documentation and collaboration.
