Arjun Sarwal is a seasoned business leader with over 15 years of experience in building and scaling early-stage startups. Currently, he serves as the Head of Singapore and Regional Performance at TikTok, where he is a member of the monetization leadership team. He is responsible for collaborating with talented colleagues and partners to help build this incredibly exciting early-stage business in the region. Prior to joining TikTok, Arjun worked at Bytedance, where he held the same position and was also a member of the monetization leadership team. He played a vital role in building the business in the region and collaborating with colleagues and partners to drive growth. Arjun has also been involved in various early-stage startups as a tech investor and advisor. He has invested in and advised companies such as Melvano (education tech), Job2Go (jobs and tasks portal), BANSEA (SEA Angel Investments community), Xoogler (Googler angel investments community), and Singapore Fintech Association. Arjun holds a degree in Electronics and Communication from Delhi University and was an invited research scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he worked on the development of the $100 laptop (One Laptop per Child) to enable each child with access to education.
