Arjun Sunil is a Research Engineer who wears many hats in the tech industry. With 1.79 years of relevant experience, he has worked as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer, and Full-stack Developer. Arjun is an Ex-Maintainer of LegendROM for the Redmi Note 4 (mido) Coverage, which is a testament to his expertise in software engineering. Arjun is a polyglot with a preference for Python and has contributed to EKSCTL and Fluent-Bit. He is open to collaborating in OSS and is always eager to learn new things. Arjun is passionate about all things tech and can answer questions about Kubernetes, Deep Learning, and deploying models at scale. Arjun is currently working as an SDE II (Research) at merlyn mind, where he is responsible for developing and implementing metrics-driven model building frameworks. He has also spearheaded color detection research and boosted color palette prediction by Semantic Segmentation in Studio and Wild images. Arjun has worked at Fynd as a Data Scientist II, where he implemented bulk inferencing at scale with Kafka, FastAPI, Kubernetes Jobs API. He was instrumental in establishing a fully serverless infrastructure for ML inference workloads in collaboration with MLops, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists across the team. Arjun also mentored MLops engineers in AWS cross-account migration with zero downtime. As a Data Scientist at Network Intelligence, Arjun researched and created ML-based unsupervised time series anomaly detection. He also designed a novel technique for ranking security alerts for prioritizing actionable items based on the severity of the alert. Arjun holds an MSc. in Computer Science from IIIT and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mobile Applications from the Department of IT, School of Science, Gujarat University.
