Arka Saha is a Machine Learning Engineer at Quantiphi, with a comprehensive background in deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision (CV). He is proficient in Python and data structures and algorithms (DSA), and possesses hands-on experience in creating a blockchain network and deploying smart contracts for B2B applications. Arka is a problem solver at heart, and he believes that the prospects of artificial intelligence are fascinating. He is passionate about contributing to the practical application of AI research and development. Arka is also interested in finance-related topics, reading more about them has invoked a keen interest in market economics. He is excited to see how fintech space develops in India. Arka has worked on a variety of projects throughout his career. At Quantiphi, he is currently working on the application of NLP on equity quarterly reports for a well-known client, exploring problems related to the speech processing domain, and developing a custom named entity recognition (NER) model for a voice assistant project. Prior to Quantiphi, Arka worked as a Software Engineer at PwC, where he worked on international blockchain projects as a full-stack developer. He has also worked as an ML Research Intern at Niramai Health Analytix, where he developed a self-supervised deep learning approach to solve the inverse problem of 3D reconstruction from 2D thermal images and trained a classification model for segregating chest X-rays (CXRs) into four categories. Arka holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Jadavpur University, where he completed his studies in 2020. He also attended Kendriya Vidyalaya for his high school education. Arka's tech stack includes ML, AWS, NLP, blockchain, Python, smart contracts, deep learning, Sagemaker, AI, research scientist, Ethereum, big data, software engineering, MongoDB, and computer vision. In his free time, Arka is an avid cricket lover and enjoys learning about how the sport has evolved over time.
