Arkaprava De is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in designing and building distributed systems, backend infrastructure, and full stack applications. He is currently working at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Senior Software Engineer on the AWS Sagemaker team where he designed and launched the new AWS Sagemaker StudioLab. Arkaprava was involved in building the Control Plane with authentication and authorization layer and launching it before re:Invent. He is leading about 10 developers in different components for StudioLab launch and was the security point of contact for the customer-facing API and web app. With his expertise in AWS, software engineering, Sagemaker, MySQL, integration, backend, ECS, Docker, NoSQL, data warehouse, and frontend technologies, Arkaprava has been able to deliver exceptional results in his past roles. He has worked on several projects at Amazon, including standardizing performance across RDS organization by building a native AWS service that can be leveraged to generate performance reports of all RDS engines. He replaced the existing performance logic with the new service with a 95% reduction of cost and 99% reduction of manual work. Arkaprava has also designed and developed a content management system to manage and publish videos uploaded by the business team, which is then viewed by thousands of sellers on Amazon’s Seller Central platform. He has also worked on front-end side to create websites for sellers. Arkaprava holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from VIT, Vellore Institute of Technology.
