Arkid Bera is an experienced Engineer with a background in semiconductor industry and academic research. He has over 2 years of experience in hardware and software development, with a primary focus on on-chip design and verification of SoC & Memory-based circuits as well as neural networks using Verilog/SystemVerilog. Currently, he works as an Engineer, DEG Design at Micron Technology, where he is responsible for designing DRAM and emerging memory groups. Arkid has extensive experience in RTL, Python, and C++ programming, and a theoretical understanding of AI-based algorithms (deep networks, RNNs, Reinforcement learning, etc.). He has specifically worked on circuits aiding in improved power and performance of client-based computer processors, as well as software and hardware acceleration of on-chip AI inference (CNNs, clustering algorithms, etc.). Arkid has also gained a deep understanding of the architecture and working of SoCs to deliver high-performance computing in processors (including inference chips). Arkid has previously worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Stuttgart, where he worked on a novel hardware and software solution to enable the acceleration of multiple state-of-the-art CNNs, DNNs on a single chip. He has also worked as a SoC Design Engineer at Intel, where he was part of the Power & Performance team, primarily focused on power optimization and performance boost of the client-based processors, specifically, the SoC. At Intel, he also worked on a novel AI-based research project to minimize thermal throttling of high-end processors. Arkid holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He is a BITS Pilani alumnus and has a relevant experience of 4.45 years. Arkid is a skilled designer, AI researcher, and has expertise in Reinforcement Learning, Python, and Neural Networks.
