Arnav Kansal is a highly passionate and motivated software engineer with a strong background in Computer Science and Mathematics. He thrives in challenging problem spaces and is dedicated to building high-performance systems that solve real-life problems at scale. Currently working at Google as a Software Engineer, Arnav is focused on optimizing the Container-Optimized Operating System. He is a valuable asset to the team, bringing his expertise in microservices and software engineering to the table. Prior to his current role, Arnav worked at Uber as a Software Engineer on the Load Intelligence Team for Uber Freight. During his time there, he delivered risk engines that powered internal tools using live location data and historical features to compute risks for shipments being late. He also designed and led efforts on building a core microservice that aggregates and surfaces in and out times for all truckload shipments. Before Uber, Arnav worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Citadel Securities, where he gained experience in low latency technologies, auto-code generation for high-frequency trading hardware development, and service discovery using distributed systems. Arnav holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from New York University and a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is a lifelong learner and continually seeks opportunities to expand his knowledge and skills.
