Arnav Vasudev is a highly skilled Vehicle Dynamics Systems Engineer with over 7 years of experience in the automotive industry. Currently working at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, Arnav is responsible for leading the development of the next generation brake control system for North American commercial vehicles. He is the primary interface for software function developers, product teams, and customers, integrating internal, customer, and regulatory requirements for the development of all brake system functions such as ABS, traction control, stability control, load-based braking, and trailer brake. Arnav is also responsible for integrating other technologies into the brake system, including driver assistance features, air processing, and wheel-end. He supports the development and validation of the brake control system through testing and analysis across platforms (vehicle, Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation, and test bench) and prototype brake system implementation at Bendix and the customer. Arnav has a unique skill set and has developed solutions for brake system application on hybrid powertrain commercial vehicles. Arnav has a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Manipal Institute of Technology. He has also completed his High School education from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya. Arnav has gained experience working with a wide range of technologies and tools, including Matlab/Simulink, dSpace, TruckSim, Vector CAN tools (CANalyzer), and product lifecycle management, requirements management, and test management tools. Arnav has also worked as an Engineering Co-op at Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, where he developed a Hardware-in-the-Loop test utility for Electronic Stability Control function, resulting in an 80% reduction in vehicle testing and saving over $100,000 annually. He has also gained experience in modelling vehicles in TruckSim vehicle simulator and developed the ability to integrate engineering requirements within simulation platform constraints. Arnav is a self-motivated individual who has developed the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. He has excellent project management skills and has participated in project planning and co-leading meetings with project engineers. Arnav is a team player and has volunteered to organize and conduct engineering product trainings to a multidisciplinary group of co-ops.
