Arnav Wadhwa is a highly skilled and motivated ML Research Intern at ACES Lab UCSD, currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of California San Diego. With a focus on ML research and software engineering, he has gained extensive experience in developing software systems and novel algorithms for neural quantitative trading and natural language processing. Arnav's previous experience includes working as an ML Engineer at MIDAS in India, where he collaborated with a team of smart individuals to develop multimodal AI systems. He has also worked as an ML Research Fellow for the Indian government, building large-scale ML systems and products at their Intelligent Systems Group, which now impacts over 1.5 million people across the Indian subcontinent. Academically, Arnav holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology (Applied Computer Sciences) from GGSIPU, where he was honored as one of the best outgoing students in 2018. He has presented his work at 10 globally top-ranked CS/AI conferences, demonstrating his expertise in the field. Currently, Arnav is working with the ACES lab at UC San Diego on a project around graph neural networks, collaborating with Intel. He has also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego, where he conducted office hours and discussion sessions, helped create and grade weekly programming assignments, and ensured clarity of concepts from course material for over 300 graduate students across departments. Arnav's technical skills include ML, research scientist, AI, NLP, and neural networks.
